The Azad lab spent Sunday at the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba's annual Teddy Bears' Picnic teaching the kids about breastfeeding in the "I Want to be a Scientist" tent.
Led by Azad Lab PhD student, Shirin Moossavi, our new publication "Integrated Analysis of Human Milk Microbiota With Oligosaccharides and Fatty Acids in the CHILD Cohort" was published this week in the journal Frontiers Nutrition. The study used breast milk samples from the CHILD Cohort Study and a variety of different statistical methods to assess associations between different components of human milk.
Join us on a journey into the world of a baby’s gut microbiome, meet some microbial superheroes and learn about how discoveries from the CHILD Cohort Study are helping us to understand allergies, asthma, obesity, and everyday health and wellbeing, especially during childhood. Check out the video that features research from the Azad Lab and other CHILD Study researchers!
