New paper: mode of breastfeeding and asthma
New resaerch from our lab shows that longer breastfeeding is associated with a lower risk of possible or probable asthma by 3 years of age in the CHILD cohort. Direct breastfeeding (at the breast) appears to be more protective than indirect breastfeeding (expressed and bottled breast milk). To learn more about the study conducted on breastfeeding and asthma risk check out the interview with Dr. Meghan Azad on CTV, and the recently published article in The Journal of Pediatrics.
